Life Legacy

On January 4, 1945 the late Overseer Dan Edwards and the Reverend Sister Beatrice Edwards welcomed their daughter, Annie Rose Edwards (Anne) into the world. Anne was one of thirteen children. Along with all of her brothers and sisters, Anne was raised in the church. This upbringing instilled in her an undying faith, and this was reflected in her tireless dedication to Christ.

Ann was educated in Birmingham, Alabama. She attended and graduated Hudson Elementary, Parker High School, and Jefferson State Community College. She travelled and lived in numerous cities across the United States. She worked and retired from the University of Alabama as a mental health nurse following twenty-seven years of distinguished service.

Anne was blessed with many talents as well. She was a talented jewelry maker and displayed great skill at sewing. She was also an anointed singer and sang in several groups and choirs.

Anne was married to the late Gaynor Richardson Jr. and gave birth to six children. Anne was a devoted sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Ann was finally called home to rest at the age of sixty-five on July 23, 2010.
