JoAnne Underwood

          JoAnne Underwood was born September 1, 1957 to Yvonne A. and James Curtis Underwood, Sr.  She confessed her love of Christ at an early age.  She attended Jefferson County School System.  She was a graduate of Minor High School.  JoAnne further matriculated at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa and at the School of Fashion Design in Birmingham, Alabama.

          JoAnne was challenged with a lot of medical problems throughout her lifetime, but overcame unsurmountable odds by The Grace of God.

          JoAnne was blessed with a son whom she named Walter James Jawon Underwood.

          JoAnne was preceded in death by her parents, James Curtis Underwood, Sr. and Yvonne A. Underwood.

          She leaves to cherish: one son – Walter James Jawon Underwood, special friend – Patrick Byner, three brothers – James Curtis Underwood, Jr. (Bessie), Marvin Underwood and Raymond McDonald (Rosine).  JoAnne also leaves to cherish a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

          She will be remembered for her any talents, skill sets, her sense of humor and ability to make you laugh and, most of all, her love for family.
